Jose Guadalupe Tovar Rubio - Landscape Superintendent

Jose was born in the state of Guanajuato in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende and raised in the capital of Mexico. When he came to the U.S. the first job he was offered was in landscaping. He started working for a small company where he worked in many departments, learning pruning, irrigation, applications, as well as how to install patios and fences.

In 2016 his brother invited him to work at Signature Landscape, where he started working in construction installation in the North Branch. Jose also spent some time installing new irrigation systems. After a short time, he was promoted to Landscape Superintendent, managing the construction crews in his branch. Jose demonstrates care for his crews – about both their personal and professional lives and enjoys the greater responsibility this position gives him. As he manages his crews, he strives to help them become better, more confident leaders, as well as encouraging a culture of safety. He also holds his crews to a high standard of quality control in their work. Jose is most satisfied when the job is completed safely and with good quality.

Jose has a very strong work ethic and is always willing to help others. He and his wife Leticia have two sons, Joshua and Geovanni. Jose enjoys many sports including basketball, cycling and hunting. His favorite places to vacation are Colorado and Florida.
