Steve Wolzen - Account Manager
Landscape Industry Since: 2001
Signature Landscape Since: 2008
Steve grew up in a small town in Nebraska. While in college, he volunteered at zoos, working with kids to teach them about wildlife and the great outdoors. That was when Steve knew he enjoyed working with people. While attending Kansas State University and majoring in park resource management, Steve learned a great deal about grounds maintenance. When Steve graduated from college, he knew he wanted to work in the outdoors which led him to the landscaping industry. After having mostly taught children, Steve learned he needed to change his teaching technique to be age appropriate. Knowing the audience in order to serve the needs of the individual is a skill that he grew to excel in. Through his experiences in the landscape industry, Steve learned ways to help clients understand landscaping concepts, even if they had no background in the industry.
In his career, Steve benefits from coaches that guide him to develop and improve leadership skills as well as becoming a better friend, spouse and father. Steve enjoys the challenge of working with different types of people. Whether professional or personal, he naturally builds relationships in which he can be relied upon. As an Account Manager at Signature Landscape, Steve is energized by providing people with what they need. Rather than selling, he enjoys helping clients visualize the potential of their landscape and then helps fulfill that vision.
When Steve isn’t working as an Account Manager, he manages large public aquariums, and also has a large aquarium at home. His interest in Aquaculture has led him to growing and selling coral. Steve also enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
