Andres Munoz - Production Manager

Landscape Industry Since: 2016
Signature Landscape Since: 2016
Andres had a wonderful childhood in El Salvador, where he spent lots of time with his parents and brothers. His parents motivated him, taught him resilience, believed in the things that he did, and were an inspiration to him. His father taught him responsibility, to plan for the future, and to be prepared for the unexpected. Andres worked in his parents’ drug store, helping them for two years and gaining valuable customer service experience.
When Andres was 19, his family came to the US where he began working at Signature Landscape on a Horticultural Crew. After a while, Andres transitioned to a Mow Crew Member, where he learned how to use the weed eater, mower, what to watch for, and really became a master at the position. He began helping the crew leaders with technology and was promoted to work in the Applications Department.
Andres wanted to improve his English, so he took English classes. In 2019, Andres got his GED and enrolled in Horticulture and Project Management classes at Johnson County Community College.
After two years working in the Applications Department at Signature, Andres was promoted to Production Manager! As a Production Manager, his responsibilities increased – he managed his own time, set up work for others, and learned more technology. Andres says this position helps him to constantly improve and to challenge himself. He finds it fulfilling! Everyone he has worked with has helped him grow and pushed him to do his best. He admires Daniel, Antonio, Nico and Eudoy for the work they do and is thankful for their help teaching him what he knows.
Andres likes to be outdoors and finds satisfaction in the landscape industry because he has an impact on the landscapes that surround us. Whether it is mowing, trees, applications, or mulch, the work he’s doing leaves a mark. He can see things he and his team have done when he drives around, and can say, “I made that grass look green.”
For fun, Andres enjoys reading Manga, a Japanese comic, and walking to see new places and parks. He and his wife Casey like to visit small towns, go on road trips, and just drive around for hours. They enjoy trying new restaurants and cooking together. They take care of their little “farm” where they have some chicks, a turkey, and some ducks!
