Daniel Suarez - Senior Production Manager
Landscape Industry Since: 2008
Signature Landscape Since: 2008
Dan’s first involvement in grounds maintenance was growing up, helping his uncle mow residential lawns on weekends. In addition to working at his uncle’s lawn care business, Dan worked as a cook at Winstead’s, and then Waffle House.
In 2008, Dan went to work for a small landscape company where he worked his way up from a laborer to a crew leader. While there, Dan took an interest in applying fertilizers and herbicides to promote beautiful, healthy turf grass. Dan also grew interested in caring for trees and shrubs by applying fertilizer, as well as preventing pests from causing damage. Learning and perfecting these techniques prepared Dan for a promotion to the position of Applications Manager. As the Applications Manager he earned his pesticide applicator license in both Missouri and Kansas. In 2011, after the unexpected passing of the owner of the landscape company, Signature Landscape purchased the business and Dan continued his position with Signature.
In 2013 Dan was promoted to Production Manager, and in 2020 to Senior Production Manager. In this position, Dan stays in daily communication with Account Managers and finds ways to do what’s best to please customers. He also stays in touch with the administrative staff to ensure crews are providing the correct services and clients are billed accordingly. Dan enjoys working outdoors. Each day he visits the properties where his crews provide grounds maintenance and is always on the lookout for details to improve. He has an aptitude for leadership and sincerely cares for the men and women he leads.
In Dan’s free time, he enjoys watching his kids, Jocelyn, Julissa, and Manny play soccer. During the soccer off-season he enjoys spending time with his family on bike rides, at the lake or any outdoor activity, and on vacations.
