Miguel started working in the outdoors in a small town in Zacatecas, Mexico, where he worked in corn fields. At the age of 20 Miguel decided to move to the U.S., where he began his career in the green industry as he thought it would be similar to the trade he was already familiar with. Miguel began with mowing and has loved mowing ever since. To him, the best part about mowing is the smell of freshly cut grass! Miguel’s hard work has been recognized by clients’ satisfaction and appreciation of the beautification of their properties. Miguel says, “There is nothing that makes me prouder than a happy client.”

Miguel worked at several companies within the Kansas City metro prior to becoming a Production Manager at Signature Landscape. His hard work and passion for landscape has given Signature, as well as his previous employers, the confidence his work will surpass client expectations. Rain or shine, the job will be completed thoughtfully and in an efficient manner. As a Production Manager, he enjoys scheduling and performing services in a timely manner. He has become a strong leader within Signature through successful teamwork, dedication to the job, and managing horticulture and lawn maintenance crews.

Although the recent years have presented challenges, like learning the ins-and-outs of his new management position, Miguel feels rewarded just seeing the smiling faces of employees and knowing the job is done right. In his free time, Miguel enjoys taking spontaneous road trips to explore the natural beauty hidden around the U.S.
