Tanner was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. After high school, he attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in recreation and sport. Tanner was also a proud member of the football team at William Jewel, where he was taught the core value of hard work and dedication. He later went on to pursue a master’s degree in sport and leisure management from Pittsburg State University.

In 2002, Tanner began to work for a landscape company located in Salina, which is where he developed a passion for the green industry. Since then, Tanner has continued to learn and develop in all aspects of the landscape industry. Tanner is a Certified Pesticide Applicator in multiple categories. He strives to see how well he can improve the properties he is responsible for. In his Utility Maintenance Coordinator role at Signature, he enjoys providing knowledgeable advice and quality landscape maintenance service to his customers.

When Tanner has free time, he likes to try to improve his golf game in hopes of mastering the sport for retirement. When traveling, he also enjoys trying new courses to see the beautiful landscapes that are offered across the United States.
