Taylor Anderson grew up in Salina, Kansas, and has always enjoyed time spent outdoors. At an early age, he loved helping his grandfather on their small family farm and in the garden. This is where Taylor’s love for plants began and has continued to grow ever since. Taylor worked several odd jobs throughout high school, one of which was for a small landscape company mowing lawns. After high school, Taylor attended Kansas State University to study Business Management.
While in college, Taylor again worked for a small landscape company, mowing and assisting with landscape installations. He started working for a tree service shortly before graduating from KSU and enjoyed the work so much that he stayed with the company for five years, working as an arborist and tree climber. He later worked at a vineyard where he learned grafting and pruning techniques and, most importantly, how to make wine.
Taylor joined Signature as an Account Manager in 2022 and has since transitioned into the role of Business Development Manager. This shift came naturally, allowing him to continue working with plants while focusing on building new client relationships and solving landscape challenges creatively. “There is no better feeling than working with someone to solve an issue that has been causing stress,” Taylor says. “I enjoy finding unique solutions that are both functional and beautiful. The harmony between the two is what turns a fix into a work of art.”
What Taylor enjoys most about his role is the variety of challenges he faces each day and the opportunity to form lasting client relationships. He is energized by meeting new people, collaborating on creative solutions, and helping bring a shared vision for the landscape to life. Honesty, transparency, and integrity are the values he considers essential to any successful partnership. Taylor is known for his clear communication and thoughtful approach, and he thrives in the collaborative environment built by his Signature colleagues.
Outside of work, Taylor is an avid outdoorsman who loves fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and just about anything outside. He also grew up in a musical family and has been playing music since the age of eight. When he isn’t playing music or out on an adventure, you can find him woodworking or working on various projects around the house.
