Taylor Anderson - Account Manager
Landscape Industry Since: 2016
Signature Landscape Since: 2022
Taylor grew up in Salina, Kansas and has always enjoyed time spent outdoors. At an early age he loved helping his grandfather on their small family farm and in the garden. This is where Taylor’s love for plants was started and has continued to grow ever since (pun intended). Taylor worked several odd jobs throughout high school, one of which was working at a small landscape company mowing lawns. After high school, Taylor went to Kansas State University to study business management.
While in college Taylor again worked for a small landscape company mowing and doing landscape installations. He started working for a tree service shortly before graduating from KSU. He enjoyed the work so much he stayed with this company for 5 years working as an arborist and tree climber. Taylor then worked at a vineyard where he learned grafting techniques, pruning techniques, and most importantly how to make wine!
Taylor joined Signature as an Account Manager in 2022. What he likes most about being an Account Manager is the everyday challenges he faces, as well as being able to form client relationships. He says, “honesty, transparency, and integrity are the three keys to any lasting relationship.” Taylor’s passion is making things beautiful in the landscape; he most enjoys the projects that provide instant gratification. He also enjoys seeing the plants progress throughout the growing season. A career in the green industry is something Taylor has continued to pursue because of his passion for working with trees, shrubs, and landscapes. As a part of the Signature team, Taylor appreciates the resources his colleagues provide with their expertise on client relations and landscape practices. He thrives in the collaborative environment of such talented people.
Taylor is very fond of the outdoors and loves to spend his time fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and anything outside. He also grew up in a music family and has been playing music since the ripe age of 8. Taylor also enjoys woodworking and if he isn’t playing music or doing some outdoor activity listed above you can find him working on one of his various projects around the house.
