Trevor Taylor - Branch Manager
Landscape Industry Since: 1999
Signature Landscape Since: 2017
Trevor was born and raised in central Iowa with a love for everything outdoors. After high school, Trevor attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA where he earned a golf scholarship and All-American Honors in his second season. It was golf that brought him to the Kansas City area.
Learning the basics of turf and horticulture truly interested Trevor and that is where his passion evolved. Most of his knowledge has come from working in the field and having his hands in the dirt. His first lessons were learned in the golf industry.
Some of you may notice Trevor’s face from a certain company’s commercials and jingle. That’s right, Trevor has been a focal point on several of Grass Pad’s television commercials. He learned a great deal in his time at Grass Pad serving customers daily. That is where he may have learned his favorite craft, customer service.
Moving on, Trevor found his niche in the lawn and landscape world. Working on both sides of the table has allowed him to learn how sales drive business as well as how important it is to have a strong production team that does things right and in a timely manner. Finding a home with Signature Landscape was a very proud moment for him, and he is very excited to be part of such a strong team.
After the role of Account Manger for several years, Trevor moved into another area he has passion for, the General Manager of the newly acquired Snowmen operation. He worked on strengthening subcontractor relationships and improving the overall operation to ensure client safety and satisfaction. “Snow and ice management is quite different than grounds maintenance as you plan, plan, plan, then wait for snow” said Trevor about his role of GM.
A short time later, the need for a Branch Manager role opened and Trevor jumped at the chance to get back to his true passion of landscape maintenance. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the Grandview branch that serves the SE quadrant of the city.
When Trevor is not trying to figure out lawn or landscape problems or taking pictures of nature, he’s chasing after his two boys, Leo and Emerson. He really hopes that his sons will have a passion for the outdoors as well.
